2026 Triumph Scrambler 400 XC
Triumph is expanding its popular LAMS-approved 400 cc line-up with the new Scrambler 400 XC, bringing enhanced off-road capability to the platform alongside the already established Scrambler 400 X.

The enhanced off-road chops of the XC come courtesy of side-laced wire-spoke wheels with lightweight aluminium rims in a design that also allows them to run tubeless tyres.

A new high-mounted front guard adds to the Scrambler 400 XC’s rugged aesthetic, complemented by the inclusion of a fly screen for added style and practicality.

Colour options start with the Vanilla White at $11,490 ride-away, with two premium colourways available for $11,690 ride-away: Racing Yellow or Storm Grey.

Compared to the Scrambler 400 X, currently available for $9,990 ride-away, the new XC commands a $1,500–$1,700 premium for its added features, though the core platform remains largely unchanged.

It would appear, however, that the Scrambler 400 XC has gained some weight, with a quoted wet weight of 186 kg compared to the 179 kg listed for the 400 X. Most of that increase is likely due to the new wire-spoke wheels, as the addition of the fly screen and high-mounted front guard wouldn’t account for much on their own.

Unchanged is the fitment of Metzeler Karoo Street tyres and the 19-inch front, 17-inch rear wheel sizing, along with the 43 mm USD fork and preload-adjustable rear shock. Suspension travel remains a generous 150 mm at both ends—ample by road standards, if not quite up to full adventure or hardcore off-road expectations.

Braking is handled by a single large 320 mm front rotor paired with a four-piston caliper, and a 230 mm disc at the rear, with ABS that includes an off-road mode
There’s also switchable traction control, if you’re not familiar with the regular Scrambler 400 X model. Additionally, it features an LCD screen and an analogue speedometer, while USB-C charging is accessible from the .bars

Lighting is full LED with a daytime running light (DRL), while security features include a standard immobiliser and a steering lock.

The lively 400cc single-cylinder engine produces 39.5 bhp at 8000 rpm and 37.5 Nm of torque, offering a flexible and engaging power delivery that should appeal to both new riders and those content with modest performance on an open licence.

The new Triumph Scrambler 400 XC is expected in August of 2025 in three colours: Vanilla White (from $11,490 ride-away) as well as Racing Yellow and Storm Grey – both priced from $11,690 ride-away. Check out the original Scrambler 400 X Review here, for more insight into the model.
