Round Four – Knockhill

Superbike Race One

Bradley Ray delivered a determined ride to claim victory in the opening Bennetts British Superbike Championship race at Knockhill, fending off intense challenges from Rory Skinner and Kyle Ryde to continue his winning momentum with Raceways Yamaha.

Kyle Ryde got the jump at the start, launching into the lead ahead of Ray and local favourite Skinner. Ray wasted no time, diving up the inside on lap three to briefly take the lead from his OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing Yamaha rival — but Ryde immediately struck back.

All eyes were on Skinner as the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati rider looked to thrill the home crowd. On lap six, he made a clean move at the Hairpin to take second, before grabbing the race lead on lap 11 with another sharp pass.

When Ryde ran wide at the Hairpin a few laps later, Ray seized the opportunity to reclaim second. With Skinner now in his sights, Ray struck again two laps on, muscling his way through and pushing Skinner wide — allowing Ryde to slip back into second.

From there, the leading trio ran nose-to-tail in a tense battle until Ray managed to edge clear in the closing stages, securing the win with Ryde and Skinner rounding out the podium.

Scott Redding marked a solid return to BSB, finishing fourth. The 2019 champion looked more comfortable with every lap and held firm under early pressure from Storm Stacey.

Meanwhile, Tommy Bridewell and Josh Brookes locked horns in a late battle for fifth, both eventually getting the better of Stacey, who crossed the line in seventh.

Charlie Nesbitt kept close tabs on the group aboard the MasterMac Honda, while Lee Jackson and Andrew Irwin rounded out the top ten.

Superbike Race Two (Sprint)

Bradley Ray continued his winning form on Sunday morning at Knockhill, taking a commanding second race victory for Raceways Yamaha as home favourite Rory Skinner and Tommy Bridewell joined him on the podium.

Ray wasted no time getting to the front, carving past Kyle Ryde, Skinner, Fraser Rogers, and Bridewell on the opening lap. From there, the Raceways Yamaha rider executed a flawless run at the front, setting consistently fast laps to build a comfortable gap while the battle for second raged behind.

Storm Stacey made an early charge, moving into second by lap two on the Bathams AJN Racing BMW, demoting Ryde down the order. Stacey held the position until Skinner pounced with a sharp move on the brakes at the Hairpin on lap eight, taking second aboard the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati in his first wet race on the bike.

Despite pushing hard, Skinner had to settle for second and a fourth podium finish for the season, while Stacey’s podium hopes were dashed in the final five laps as Bridewell launched a successful attack for third, earning another strong result for Honda Racing UK.

Danny Kent had his best outing of the season with McAMS Racing Yamaha, snatching fourth from Stacey on the penultimate lap. Fraser Rogers also enjoyed a standout ride, claiming sixth — his best result of 2025 — for TAG Honda.

Kyle Ryde faded to seventh on the OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing Yamaha, just ahead of Leon Haslam (Moto Rapido Ducati Racing). Christian Iddon edged out Josh Brookes to round out the top ten.

Superbike Race Three

Rory Skinner delivered a landmark performance at Knockhill to take a breakthrough Bennetts British Superbike Championship win aboard the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati, ending Bradley Ray’s dominant run and marking the team’s first-ever victory with the Italian manufacturer.

In front of a passionate home crowd, Skinner’s triumph capped off an emotionally charged afternoon — not only for the win but for his determined ride that edged out Ray, while Fraser Rogers celebrated his maiden BSB podium with a career-best third for TAG Honda.

The final race of the weekend was restarted three times, first red-flagged after three laps due to rapidly changing weather conditions, and again on lap seven following a crash for Blaze Baker at the Hairpin that caused track contamination.

BSB 2025 – Round Four – Knockhill

Skinner had taken the holeshot in both of the initial starts, but in the third and final restart, it was Ray who surged into the early lead. However, the local favourite wasted no time, diving down the inside and reclaiming the front position with a forceful move, where he remained for the rest of the 16-lap sprint.

Ray pushed hard to close the gap, but Skinner was unshakable, delivering one of the most spirited rides of his BSB career to take the chequered flag ahead of the Raceways Yamaha rider, who had to settle for second.

The battle for the final podium place raged between Fraser Rogers, Christian Iddon, and Max Cook, with Rogers eventually making a decisive pass on Iddon at the Hairpin on lap 11. Despite late-race pressure from both Iddon and Cook, Rogers held on to clinch a long-awaited first BSB podium.

Iddon finished fourth on the AJN Steelstock Kawasaki, just ahead of Storm Stacey (Bathams AJN Racing BMW), who split the Steelstock teammates with a late move on Cook, who completed the top six.

Leon Haslam, Andrew Irwin, Scott Redding, and Charlie Nesbitt completed the top ten, while Kyle Ryde charged from the back of the grid to 11th after a pitlane delay forced a last-minute start for the OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing Yamaha rider.

Supersport Race One (Sprint)

Rhys Irwin emerged victorious at the end of a hectic 20-lap sprint in the opening British Supersport race of the weekend, mastering tricky, changeable weather conditions to take a hard-fought win.

The drama began before the lights even went out, as a sudden downpour turned the race into a tyre gamble. Declared ‘wet’, the conditions forced riders into difficult decisions, with some rolling the dice — and others paying the price.

Reigning champion Jack Kennedy made a lightning start from pole, with Oliver Barr slotting into second as the field jostled for position. Irwin made a strong launch from the second row and capitalised as several riders ran wide or onto the grass in the slippery opening lap.

Ben Currie quickly dropped down the order after choosing the wrong rubber, leaving Kennedy and Barr to scrap for control. Barr hit the front on lap six, only for Kennedy to respond and retake the lead. The pair continued to trade places, with Barr reclaiming the advantage on lap nine — but Irwin was closing in fast.

By lap 16, Irwin made his move stick and surged into the lead. Barr’s podium hopes soon evaporated, however, as he appeared to suffer a mechanical issue and was then nudged by Kennedy in a close-call moment. Barr was forced to retire, while Kennedy held firm in second under pressure from a fast-charging TJ Toms.

Toms had to settle for third at the flag, with Luke Stapleford finishing a solid fourth and Ben Luxton completing the top five.

In the Supersport Cup class, Keo Walker claimed the win in 13th overall, ahead of Joe Farragher and Lewis Jones, who rounded out the Cup podium.

Supersport Race Two

Reigning Supersport champion Jack Kennedy reignited his title campaign with a clinical ride to claim his second win of the season, as drama unfolded behind him in the 22-lap contest. The Honda Racing UK rider took full advantage of early incidents, including a crash for former points leader Luke Stapleford, to take a vital step back into championship contention.

Joe Talbot launched perfectly off the line from pole to grab the holeshot ahead of Kennedy, but the race complexion changed within moments as Stapleford crashed out in the opening sector, dealing a major blow to his title aspirations. Kennedy’s teammate Dean Harrison followed suit shortly after in a separate incident, leaving the field to settle into rhythm.

Once in front, Kennedy began to stretch a small but decisive gap. Talbot closed in during the closing stages, but was unable to mount a challenge and crossed the line 0.787 seconds adrift, settling for second.

Ben Currie (Moto Rapido Ducati Racing) completed the podium in third after a largely uneventful but solid ride. Rhys Irwin, who finished fourth, benefitted from Stapleford’s misfortune to take over the championship lead, while Oliver Barr rounded out the top five.

In the Supersport Cup class, Keo Walker again proved the rider to beat, fending off Ben Tolliday to take the class win, with Josh Bannister securing third.

Superstock Race One

Luke Mossey delivered a commanding lights-to-flag victory in the opening Superstock race of the Knockhill weekend, holding off polesitter Tom Ward to win by 1.334 seconds.

Mossey launched his Milenco by Padgetts Motorcycles Honda off the line perfectly, taking the early lead as championship leader Ilya Mikhalchik slotted into second. Ward, despite starting from pole, dropped back after a sluggish start and found himself chasing from third.

While Mossey stretched out a lead of over a second and remained unchallenged throughout, Ward gradually closed the gap to Mikhalchik. On lap 11, he made a clean move to take second but had no time to mount a challenge for the lead.

The order at the front remained unchanged to the finish, with Mossey taking a confident win ahead of Ward and Mikhalchik. David Allingham claimed fourth, with Declan Connell rounding out the top five.

Superstock Race Two

Ilya Mikhalchik was back to his winning ways on Sunday afternoon as he splashed to the weekend’s second Superstock race win ahead of Tom Ward.

The championship leader took the lead at the start and immediately established a commanding position, building a lead that was enough to keep him comfortably ahead, eventually crossing the line 2.157 seconds clear of Ward.

Josh Owens, who had kept in close contact to Ward throughout the 20-lap race, was unable to find a way past his rival and had to settle for third, with Saturday winner Luke Mossey fourth and Declan Connell fifth.

Sportbike Race One

Fenton Seabright brought Kas Beekmans’ winning run to an end in spectacular fashion, claiming his first win of the season in a shortened but action-packed final race of the day.

After a red flag interruption, the race was reduced to just 10 laps — but that only intensified the battle at the front. Beekmans took the early lead, but Seabright wasted no time, moving ahead by the end of the opening lap. As the race unfolded, the top spot became a three-way fight between Seabright, Beekmans, and Asher Durham, who had charged through from the second row.

The lead changed hands multiple times, with each rider refusing to back down. Heading into the final lap, Seabright was in control, but Beekmans wasn’t done yet — briefly snatching the lead before Seabright launched a decisive move down the inside at the hairpin. He held his line perfectly and powered to the finish to seal a well-earned win.

Beekmans crossed the line second, with Durham completing the podium in third. Ferre Fleerackers secured fourth, while Harrison Dessoy rounded out the top five.

Sportbike Race Three

Asher Durham capped off the Knockhill weekend with a commanding performance in the final Sportbike race on Sunday afternoon, taking a well-earned victory by 3.2 seconds over points leader Kas Beekmans.

Starting from second on the grid, Durham launched into the lead from the outset and never looked back. Local rider Adon Davie made a strong start to slot into second ahead of double race winner Fenton Seabright, who was eyeing a clean sweep of the weekend.

However, Seabright’s hopes were dashed on lap six when he crashed out, ending what had been a standout run. Beekmans capitalised to move into second and consolidate valuable championship points.

On the final lap, Alfie Davidson edged past Davie to claim third, while Ash Barnes completed the top five.

Durham’s win added another twist to the championship narrative, with Beekmans maintaining his lead but momentum shifting among the front-runners.

SuperTeen Race One

Henry Snell continued his dominant Superteen form with a hard-fought sixth victory of the season, holding off a late charge from James Cook as racing got underway at Knockhill.

The Australian rider made a clean getaway from pole, immediately pulling a gap on the field and controlling the pace out front. Cook mounted a determined challenge in the final laps, but Snell expertly navigated backmarkers on the last lap to maintain his advantage and take the chequered flag 0.232 seconds ahead.

Local favourite Troy Jeffrey secured a strong third-place finish on home soil, followed by Greg Marshall in fourth and Marley Mackenzie completing the top five.

SuperTeen Race Two Results

James Cook secured his second Superteen victory of the season in a dramatic, rain-affected sprint at Knockhill, as tricky conditions and a shortened race distance set the stage for an unpredictable showdown.

The race was cut to just six laps due to the worsening weather, with points leader Henry Snell initially grabbing the holeshot ahead of Cook. But on lap three, Troy Jeffrey lit up the race with a bold double overtake on both Snell and Cook to take the lead.

However, chaos soon followed. Jeffrey was one of several riders to fall victim to the slippery conditions, crashing out and triggering a sequence that forced Snell off track. The ROKiT Rookie rejoined but was unable to recover the lead.

Cook capitalised on the opportunity, regaining the front and holding on through the final laps. Local rider Marley Mackenzie made a late charge to pass Snell on the last lap and secure second place, while Freddy Oakley and Jamie Muir rounded out the top five.  Muir was ultimately disqualified from the results. That meant that Holly Harris’ career-best sixth place became a fifth-place result.

Henry Snell retained his championship with a still handy 34-point advantage over Cook.
